I walked around my neighborhood Friday night with the intent to photograph Christmas trees that were still peering through windows post-holiday.

The discarding of the season has hit my street. It’s a healthy reminder that life goes on, shit ends, and we’re only months away from warmer days.

He asked us about our first year of marriage, our new lives in San Francisco, our holiday weekend in Bellingham, and our plans for the next year.
We asked him about his new gig, the developments with his project in Guatemala, his plans for the next year.
I asked if there was something really touristy we could do in Seattle because I haven’t really experienced much of Seattle at all. He mentioned ice skating and I frowned. Anna mentioned a museum and Seth frowned. Then he mentioned sea otters at the Seattle Aquarium and all of our faces lit up.
We did all of this while smiling and exchanging solid hugs.

My lovely Annita: LA, CA: 2011.

Also, one day I hope to turn photography into a career. Far-fetched? I’d love to hear your thoughts.
