Morning coffee in DF with @oso, Anna and Coco (above).
I’m not an avid videographer. But I did get a Canon EOS 7D for Christmas and decided to capture some images in motion on New Year’s Eve, along with a ton of pics. I’m debating on springing for the $59.95 Vimeo Plus account for HD viewing. For now you have to deal with the standard stuff…and my shaky camera work.
He asked us about our first year of marriage, our new lives in San Francisco, our holiday weekend in Bellingham, and our plans for the next year.
We asked him about his new gig, the developments with his project in Guatemala, his plans for the next year.
I asked if there was something really touristy we could do in Seattle because I haven’t really experienced much of Seattle at all. He mentioned ice skating and I frowned. Anna mentioned a museum and Seth frowned. Then he mentioned sea otters at the Seattle Aquarium and all of our faces lit up.
We did all of this while smiling and exchanging solid hugs.
Two of my favorite peeps: David (@oso) & Iris.
LA, CA: 2011.
I think my new favorite thing is a spontaneous pasta making night.
I spent a lovely afternoon with my newlywed friends Josh (left) and his lovely wife Sue (left) last weekend in San Jose. I met Josh on my first day at UCLA when I walked into our dorm room, furnished with bunk beds, and found him picking out the top bunk. Early bird got the worm.
He just finished up his doctoral degree at MIT, is a master of memory, composes and captures spectacular photography, and loves bagel bites. As you can see, our wives have their hands full when we’re together.
My homegirl Marina from Mex N The City is in town, and she’s schooling me on the best taquerias SF has to offer. I’m still a newbie, SF pup, Bay Area novice, but I’m trucking along.
